Career Staffing

The Bedington Volunteer Fire Department is supplemented with career staffing, Monday through Friday, from 6am to 6pm. The main station located on Bedington Road is staffed with (2) personnel from Berkeley County Fire.

Berkeley County Fire provides firefighters to augment the volunteers at each of the five volunteer fire departments within the county: Back Creek Valley, Baker Heights, Bedington, Hedgesville, and South Berkeley under the direction of Chief Martin Roberts.

The officers and members of the Bedington VFD have requested 24-hour 365 staffing from Berkeley County and are waiting for funding to become available to support that effort.
