The year 2025 saw significant activity for EMS responses from Station 40, located at 775 Bedington Road, and Station 49 at 1036 Mid Atlantic Parkway. The partnership between the Bedington Fire Department and the Berkeley County Emergency Ambulance Authority has made it possible to provide career staffing at these stations, resulting in faster EMS responses for residents in northern Berkeley County.

Station 40, which is staffed around the clock, responded to 720 EMS dispatches during 2025. It is important to note that this station did not begin career EMS staffing until August of that year.

Station 49 maintains staffing from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day and handled 521 EMS dispatches in 2025. For both stations, Tuesday was reported as the busiest day of the week for EMS responses.
